Cookie Policy

Detailed information on the use of cookies follows. Please note that the information provided here should be understood as an attachment to the more general privacy policy, which may be available on other pages.

General Information on Cookies

When you access or use one of our services, our system or that of one of our partners may set or read cookies and/or other types of identifiers relating to the browser and/or device you are using. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on the computer of anyone viewing a website for the purpose of recording certain information relating to the visit and creating a system for recognizing the user at a later time. Device identifiers, on the other hand, are generated by collecting and processing certain information such as the IP address and/or user agent (browser version, operating system type and version), or other device characteristics, always for the purpose of linking certain information to a specific user. A website can set a cookie on your browser only if the browser’s configured preferences allow it. It’s important to know that a browser may allow a particular website to access only the cookies it sets and not those set by other websites: there is no risk to your privacy in this regard.

Cookie and other similar technologies practices

Our site or its partners may use cookies or other types of identifiers for a variety of reasons, including: Offering access to restricted areas of the site that require authentication (in this case, cookies are called “technical” cookies and are used to maintain the browsing session and/or facilitate subsequent access from the same device). Tracking user preferences while using the site and/or services incorporated into or connected to it. Offering advertising and/or content relevant to visitors’ interests (third-party cookies only). Compiling statistical analyses (analytics) regarding the use of the site and/or its incorporated services. Conducting research to improve the content, products, and services of our site or its partners. Our website does NOT currently use any direct profiling cookies: the only cookies generated and managed directly by our website are so-called technical cookies (which are used exclusively to correctly provide the services offered to the public) and, to a very limited extent, analytics cookies (which are used to count the number of visits to the various pages of the website and/or for other statistical purposes). We inform users, however, that profiling cookies may be generated by third parties through our pages (Ref. “Cookies from other companies”).

Cookies for advertising management

Advertising management on this website (if any) is performed using a tool (AdServer) developed and managed directly by various third-party companies. This tool is used exclusively to manage the display, positioning, and frequency of display of advertisements (frequency capping). This tool uses cookies and other types of identifiers exclusively for technical and statistical purposes. To ensure full respect for our users’ privacy, we have decided NOT to perform any type of profiling for advertising or other purposes. Please note, however, that this tool may load third-party tags (third-party codes) into web pages that may use profiling systems. Regarding the use of cookies by external advertising providers, please refer to the next section of this policy (Ref. “Cookies from other companies”).

Cookies from other companies

Our website may integrate third-party services within its pages, which may set and use their own cookies and/or similar technologies. The use of such cookies and similar technologies by these companies is governed by their privacy policies and not by this policy, as our website is completely independent of the management of these tools and the processing of the data derived from them. Below is a non-exhaustive list of some of the partner companies that may use cookies while you browse our network:

If you have any questions or comments regarding the use of cookies, you can contact us using the contact us form on the website.

Disabling cookies

You can configure your browser to accept or reject all cookies or certain types of cookies (such as third-party cookies), or you can choose to be notified each time a cookie is set on your computer. It’s important to know that rejecting all cookies may prevent you from using our products and services, which require you to log in to areas reserved for registered users using your username and password. All these services require cookies to function properly, and therefore,
blocking cookies would make it impossible to use them. Below are instructions for the most popular browsers
for customized cookie settings:

  • Microsoft Edge
    • Go to Settings
    • Cookies and site permissions
    • Manage and delete cookies and other site data and disable “Allow sites to save and read cookie data.”
    • You can selectively block third-party cookies or delete them when you close your browser.
  • Mozilla Firefox
    • Click “Tools” at the top of the browser window;
    • Select “Options”;
    • Select the “Privacy” icon;
    • Click “Cookies”;
    • Select whether or not to select “Accept cookies from sites” and “Accept third-party cookies”;
  • Google Chrome
    • Click the menu icon;
    • Select “Settings”;
    • At the bottom of the page, select “Show advanced settings”;
    • In the “Privacy” section, select “Content settings”;
    • Select whether or not to select “Block sites from setting data.”
  • Apple Safari
    • Click the “Safari” tab at the top of the browser window;
    • Select the “Preferences” option;
    • Click “Privacy”;
    • Set your preferences under “Cookies and website data.”

We are currently unable to provide you with an equally quick method for deleting third-party cookies as, technically, this is only possible using the browser’s dedicated cleaning functions.
